About Us
I'm Mike Baumgardener, owner of The Fun Boat Store. We are a small family owned business. We started in 1995 in my garage at home. Then in 1999 we rented a small shop in Noble Oklahoma working primarily on some boats that belonged to our friends and our own wooden boat which had sunk. Back then, it was a hobby, not a business. But eventually, our reputation grew and slowly expanded into a full fledged business venture. Ultimately we bought some property in Noble and began our own repair and service center. It was there in that old oil field truck servicing property that we formed a corporation, A & R Marine Inc., and began treating the operation as a business.
We began performing service work on all types of boats and marine engines. In 2008, the family and I became interested in selling new boats as well as servicing boats. We got dealerships on several lines of new boats and began the search for an appropriate boat store location. It was the May of 2009 when The Fun Boat Store opened the doors of its newest location just off I-35 in Norman, OK. We retained the Shop in Noble for service and repair work. It wasn't long before word of great deals and outstanding service quickly spread throughout the region.
